Dorothy is the Managing Partner at OO&K. She is a Certified Professional Mediator (CPM), a registered Patents and Trademark Agent, and has
specialized in Migration and refugee law. Dorothy has over 11 years post admission practice focusing on advising and representing leading domestic, regional, and international companies, private companies, and some of Kenya’s largest State Corporations and County governments. She counsels on all aspects of foreign investments in Kenya, Migration, Immigration, Human rights, corporate, commercial, and Refugee Law for both individual clients and entities setting up in Kenya.

In addition, Dorothy is an astute litigant who has excelled in the suits she has handled over the past decade. Her unique way of litigating of always spotting that small window of opportunity to catch her opponents off guard has often resulted in prompt orders in favour of our clients.

ACHIEVEMENTS

Successfully handling the unprecedented case of impeachment of the Speaker of Kisumu County Assembly where the court ordered the restoration of the speaker back to the office.

As a registered patent and trademark agent, Ms. Omboto is well versed in the World of Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the African Regional Intellectual Property

Organization (ARIPO) and the Kenya Industrial Property Institute (KIPI) requirements and regulations. She is duly qualified and knowledgeable in Intellectual Property, patents and trademarks procedures, registration, consultations, drafting and objections for the benefit of both our local and international clients.

She serves on several Boards of Management where she holds the legal portfolios and offers sound legal advice. They include- Kisumu Urban Apostolate Programmes (KUAP-PANDIPIERI), Lean on Me foundation, and Milele Afya.
